Applications and Features:
Scanning hot metal detectors are designed for automation in steel manufacturing processes, with unique design and robust construction suitable for a variety of harsh heavy industrial environments.
Scanning hot metal detectors are widely used, but are mainly used to track hot metal of any shape (wire, bar, strip, sheet, thick plate, billet, slab, etc.) in continuous casting and hot rolling manufacturing processes.
Scanning hot metal detectors can detect the presence of hot metal even if the hot metal has only a very small portion within the detector's field of view. Therefore, the sensor can be installed very far away from the measured object.
Two sensitivity ranges can be through a switch on the control panel to suit different application needs. When the detector is adjusted to the highest sensitivity, steel temperatures as low as 250°C (480°F) can be detected.
